Finally....an update.

It seems like it's been forever since I've updated my blog. Life just seems to get so busy and suddenly it's been 6 months since have already gone! As always, we've had a pretty busy winter-especially December. Preston turned 3 and Meigen is now a big 7 year old! Preston loves Woody from Toy Story, so he was way excited to get his very own Woody to play with, it's fun to see him talk with him. Christmastime was great as well, we had lots of fun food, gifts and didn't get snowed in this year...so that was good. Mom ended up having a ton of time off this year, too so that meant lots of fun Christmas activities at the house. Meigen had a fabulous fun birthday party with the girls from our ward. We had everyone come in their PJ's and made homemade pizzas, decorated pillowcases and danced to Hannah Montana. She's got some great friends in the ward, and everyone had a great time. Since then, we've just been trying to stay warm, and healthy. Seems like we've been hit with the flu, strep throat and colds for the last two months....we're all doing better now, but Spring can't come soon enough!

First Day of School....again...and again!

This month has been an exciting month because it's Back to School! and this year that includes Preschool for Parker, too. Meigen started 1st grade at Freedom and she was very excited to get to go to school all day and have lunch with her friends. (Mom and Dad were very excited for that too! :)

A couple days later Parker started his 1st Day of Preschool! We found a great Preschool with teachers who have alot of patience and creativity! Parker is learning so much, and they are finding some great ways to help Parker stay focused and excited for school. Parker asks every day if he can go to "Miss Angies" and we tell him not today, he insists that she is waiting for him and he has to go see her.

And then when we thought we were all ready for the new school year...we got a call that Meigen had been accepted into a charter school that we've been trying to get her in. She was sad to leave her old friends and school, but she's going to do great at the new school. She already has a few of her best friends going to the school, and she's learning some great things....she'll be learning Arabic (although we are hoping to get her into the Spanish class, as well as some other advanced classes. The only real downside is that she has a specific uniform she has to wear....goodbye to her purple and pink clothes and say hello to the much more sensible and academic red, white and blue! :)

Whew! Now I hope we are finally ready to start the new school year! :)

Congrads to the Class of 2022!!

2022 seems so far away, but I know it will be here before I know it! However, we got a glimpse of what that day will be like when Meigen's kindergarten class held their own kindergarten graduation. (Yes, Mom got teary....the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree I guess). Anyways, it was such a fun afternoon to spend watching Meigen and her classmates perform an adorable program and hanging out with her teachers and friends. Good Job Meig! I expect her to be as happy and smart in 12 years! We love you Meigen, your a good example to your brothers and friends. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

Playing in the Dirt.....

What do you call perfect 78 degree weather, blue, blue skies, and miles of sand? Awesome! According to Meigen & the boys at least. We took a family trip down to St. George a couple weeks ago and they had so much fun. Here are some fun pictures of our trip. Last time we were here Parker wasn't even a year old yet so it was fun to go back and see how much fun he and Preston could have burying their sister, making sand castles (which didn't turn out so well) and getting in a sand fight with Mom and Dad.

GO JAZZ!!!! um....we mean Lakers!

So, we're really are big Jazz fans in this house, but Stephen's a huge Laker fan, and it's always fun to talk smack about the Laker's when he's around. So, when the Lakers came to play Utah this month, Enner, Steve, and Dad went to a game. Of course, the Jazz were on a roll, and with it being a home game we were sure the Jazz were going to win-what made it even better was when we heard Kobe was out that game--figured we had 'em beat with no problem. Well, we're sad to say after alot of smack talk--the Jazz lost and Steve and Dad got to gloat the whole way home. Still, everyone had a great time---and we'll just have to wait for the next matchup for a little redemption.

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year! and Happy Birthday! What a fun December we had! Of course, December 1st brings Preston's birthday. I cannot believe he's already 2. He's still our baby, and get away with anything he can. He's just so darn cute-who could say no to him! Christmas was so much fun this year! Nani & Papa came down from Idaho, and we had a fun Christmas times with our family. We also went to Temple Square to see the lights with them. We rode trax down and Parker couldn't keep the smile off his face while we rode "the train". Papa was put in charge of Preston at one point and accidentally let go of his hand-of course, being a two-year old, Preston bolted down the sidewalk. It was pretty funny to see Papa running after him! December also bring Meigen's birthday. She is growing up to be such a wonderful girl. She's now 6! Aunt Alisha lives right next to the apartment where we lived when she was born, and whenever we visit, we tell her the story of how she was born in the middle of a huge snowstorm, with no electricity at home, and what an adventure it was to get her here. She is and always had been Mom's big helper. I'm so glad to have my little girl in my life-with all the boys around I would certainly go crazy without her! Whew! Now that we have survived all that-Have a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR. May 2010 bring you more hapiness than you could ever dream!

Trick or Treat

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We had a great Halloween this year! Meigen was able to attend her first school party and Halloween parade, and had tons of fun. On Saturday, we carved the pumpkins Papa bought us-thanks Papa! We also had lots of fun trick-or-treating, and getting dressed up. When we got home form trick-or treating, Meigen and Parker handed candy out to the big kids while we played fun Halloween sounds for the neighborhood to enjoy-they had a great time!
